Tommy, a Nashville native, began his days at Gruhn Guitars in 2012 at the front desk. He's now a mover and a shaker who can be found in different parts of the building throughout the day handling not only sales in the showroom but also organizing "Caseland" (the 1,100+ cases that accompany our inventory of instruments) on the 2nd floor and shipping/receiving on the 3rd floor. Tommy is no stranger to versatility - He previously worked in the garment industry, first in screenprinting and then embroidery/embroidery design, and earned a Bachelor's degree in Recording Industry Management and Television Production from Middle Tennessee State University.
His love of guitar has given him the opportunity to share the stage with many acts including Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, and Hall & Oates. Tommy currently performs with be-bop quintet Hiptet, 20-piece big band The Moonlighters, and cover band Red Light. He enjoys spending his evenings playing guitar and is pleased and honored to spend his days helping other musicians get the right instruments in their hands here at the shop.
