c1940 Stromberg Master 400
At 19-inches wide, the Stromberg Master 400 is the largest and most powerful acoustic guitar ever made, and one of the previous owners of this circa 1940 example made it even more powerful by adding pickups. It has been de-electrified and returned to its natural acoustic glory, and the holes from two pickups and three control knobs have been plugged. The fingerboard was replaced some years ago, and the neck has a non-original truss rod.
Through the modifcations and restoration, this guitar (inv. #AR3737) has retained an excellent sound. In VG+ condition with its original hard case, it is offered at $22,500.
