Gibson Les Paul goldtop
The combination trapeze tailpiece gives it away -- this is the original version of the original Gibson Les Paul (inv. #EB5257), from the first year of issue, 1952.
Everybody calls it the Goldtop or the goldtop Standard, but the official name was simply Les Paul Model. The Standard moniker would come later, to distinguish it from the Custom, Special, Junior and 50 or more other variations through the years.
The cream-covered "soapbar" P-90 pickups are original, so this guitar sounds as great as it looks. (SOLD).
