A custom Taylor designed by George Gruhn
When the innovative craftsmanship of Bob Taylor comes together with the design experience of George Gruhn, the result is an elegant new Taylor guitar with a unique sound and look.
Our new Gruhn-design custom Taylors are built on Taylor's popular Grand Auditorium cutaway body, with mahogany back and sides. The top is Adirondack spruce, which is the key tonal element in classic pre-WWII flat-tops. To maximize the potential of the Adirondack top, the braces are also of Adirondack spruce (a first for Taylor).
Those specs alone make for an exceptional guitar, one with a complex tonal characteristics and a powerful voice. A 1 3/4 inch nut, combined with Taylor's legendary fast-action neck, provides easy playability. A factory-installed Taylor Expression system ensures true acoustic tone in amplified settings. And the guitar's performance quality is matched by its aesthetic design, which features maple body binding, a koa rosette, and fingerboard inlays from Taylor's 600-series guitars. Each guitar has a paper label signed by George Gruhn and Bob Taylor.
With a hard case, the suggested list price is $3848. Please call 615 256-2033 or email for more information.
