Gibson Ace Frehley prototype
Gibson's Custom Shop and Ace Frehley, lead guitarist with KISS, teamed up in 1996 to create a signature model. It was based on a flametop Les Paul with special features include three DiMarzio humbucking pickups, an ebony fingerboard and lightning-bolt inlays. And Ace's image on the headstock.
This guitar (inv. #EB5679) is the second of two prototypes handmade by Phil Jones of the Gibson Custom Shop. It was shown at the NAMM trade show and then sent directly to Ace. In mint condition, with original hard case, it is offered at the reduced price of $12,000
