Eggle Saluda Maple Leaf Prototype
British guitar maker Patrick James Eggle is known for his exquisite woods and finishes on electric guitars, and he applies his artistic talent to acoustic flat-tops with this prototype Saluda Maple Leaf model.
The 16-inch cutaway body features an old-growth cedar top and highly figured walnut back and sides. The maple leaf motif is executied in abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays and it carries over to the offset soundhole. Two additional leaf-shaped sound ports in the side allow the player to better hear the sound of the guitar.
This beautifully crafted guitar (inv. #AM5857) functions as a piece of art as well as a superb musical instrument. With heavy duty Cedar Creek hard case, it is offered at $4500.
