1959 Gibson ES-335
This beautiful blonde 1959 ES-335 (inventory #EH5354) appears to have been kept under someone's bed, untouched, for the past 40 years. (It's hard to imagine how anyone could keep his hands off her for that long.)The closeup of the front shows the stunning natural finish, with the nickel-plated pickup covers, bridge and tailpiece, while the back closeup reveals an appealing blister grain in the maple. A look at the peghead front and peghead back show the Kluson tuners with "single-ring" keystone buttons along with the overall pristine condition of this piece. The back of the mahogany neck is just as clean, with an attractive striped wood grain. By this point one would be tempted to say "Case closed, this is the pinnacle of beauty in an electric guitar," but the outside of the case is surpassed by the case interior.
